Have you just finished creating some very attractive or informative WebPages? Now you want the world to see it. So the next step is to get your pages from your hard disk to a web server, where anyone can see your pages. As a first step, you will of course be needing a web host on whose server you will be uploading pages.

Get yourself a good and reliable web host. You will be needing just an FTP client, HTML editor and text editor to create the pages. And you will be needing details of your account with the host like username, password, hostname and that’s it. You are ready to upload your page. It is not that hard. First you need to open your FTP client. Then you have to enter the required information like the web address where your files will be going, your username and your password.

When your FTP client has connected with your ISP's Web server, you will see two windows, both showing a file structure. The window on the left represents the folders and files on your own computer or disk. Move through the folders until you locate the Web pages to be uploaded. Select your files. Now the final step will be just moving your files from the left window which means your computer to the right window which shows the files on the server. If you had previously uploaded some pages, you should already be seeing those on the right window.

If this the first upload, it should be empty. So after you complete the transfer, your files are now on the web. Your web pages are now being seen by the entire world. You can enter your website URL on your browser and check it out as well.
